Sadhak Surf

Join us on Costa Rica’s breathtaking Osa Peninsula From May 12-17!

Sadhak Surf is a unique surf retreat experience where we reconnect to the spiritual essence of surfing and our deepest selves through practice and community while grounding ourselves in an awe-inspiring land and seascape.

We believe surfing is a spiritual pursuit — a powerful act of connection, trust, surrender, and sometimes even transcendence. Surfers have always been seekers, traveling to remote corners of the globe in search of solitude, a peeling wave, and a sense of connection to something bigger. Sadhak Surf emphasizes that intention, helping us remember the communal, positive, and divine aspects of an activity that immerses us in nature, grounds us in our bodies, and connects us to something beyond ourselves.

Sadhak Surf is an intimate retreat experience where participants connect deeply with their highest selves and one another as we enjoy one of the most stunning and biologically rich habitats on the planet.

Our accommodations are located a five minute walk from a user-friendly longboard wave perfect for beginners and more experienced surfers alike. A ten and twenty minute walk away through old-growth jungle canopy are two other breaks that are both great options for more advanced surfers seeking hollower, punchier waves.

WHO ARE WE?

Sadhak Surf founder Leo Turpan is a certified and dedicated yoga teacher and surf instructor with a combined 10 years of experience. His continual study and work in both fields have taken him all over the globe from health clinics in India to retreat centers in Indonesia and permaculture farms in Costa Rica. His expertise will guide us through this immersive and blissful retreat experience.

Communications and stoke-support will be provided by Ellie Duke, Leo’s bestie and spiritual soul sister. She is a novice surfer but she gets after it. Cruisey longboard rides are her happy place and she loves to chit chat in the water while waiting for a set. Out of the water, she brings her background in art, literature, and religious studies into her work as a writer and creative producer.
